Modi issues a Rs. 75 coin to commemorate the opening of the new Parliament

For the official opening of the new Parliament building, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issues a stamp and a rupee 75 coin.

According to a gazette notice from the Department of Economic Affairs, which is part of the finance ministry, this coin’s weight may range from 34.65 to 35.35 grammes.

According to the announcement, the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar will be depicted on one side of the coin, and below the Lion Capitol will be written the rupee symbol “?” and the denominational value “75” in international numeral.

The Parliament Complex will be depicted on the reverse of the coin, with the year ‘2023’ in international numerals below the image.
