Los Angeles, Aug 29 (IANS) Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. is celebrating 18 years of marriage with his wife Susan Downey. The Iron Man actor, 58, recently shared two photos of him and his film producer wife, 49, to mark their wedding anniversary.

In the first snap, which was taken from the couple’s 2005 wedding, the actor can be seen romantically pressing his face against Susan’s face as she looks down while wearing a silk wedding gown and holding a bouquet of pink and white flowers, reports ‘People’ magazine.

Recreating their wedding photo in the second picture, Downey can again be seen pressing his face against Susan’s — this time while she wears a white T-shirt and holds a bunch of yellow sunflowers. “18 years, love still in bloom!!” Downey wrote in his Instagram caption.

A number of famous friends sent their well-wishes to the couple on their wedding anniversary. “These are the best photos Robert! Love you both !!!!”, ‘Hawkeye’ actor Jeremy Renner wrote. “Lots of love dearhearts,” Downey’s co-star Paul Bettany added, while singer-songwriter Skylar Grey said, “Love this.”

Downey and Susan share daughter Avri, 8, and son Exton, 11, together, while the actor also shares son Indio, 29, with his first wife Deborah Falconer.

Downey’s appreciation post for his wife comes after he praised his ‘Oppenheimer’ co-star Cillian Murphy’s performance in the hit movie. Known as the “father of the atomic bomb”, Oppenheimer was a physicist during World War II  who led the U.S. effort to create an atomic bomb.

Mumbai, July 27 (IANS) Singer Sneha Astunkar, who has released her new track, ‘Mohabbat Baaki’, describes it as a song about the feeling of peaceful longing.

This track features a collaboration between Sneha, lyricist Priya Saraiya, and composer Hriday Gattani.

The song is a unique blend of musical styles, offering a poetic glimpse into the story of love.

Talking about the song, Sneha said: “ ‘Mohabbat Baaki’ is a song about the feeling of peaceful longing. It’s a song that is very close to my heart. Making this song with Hriday and Priya Ji has been an incredible experience. I hope listeners take away a feeling of positivity and feel a lot of sukoon when they play the song.”

The music video for the song explores the fluidity of relationships and depicts two lovers setting a paper boat afloat on waters from different shores. Gattani, who also sings the track, appears in the video alongside Astunkar.

Mentored by ghazal icon Talat Aziz, Sneha has previously made her mark with tracks like ‘Rehna Tu Kareeb’, ‘Meherbaan’, and ‘Bas Yun Hi’, establishing herself as a contemporary artist.

Mumbai, July 27 (IANS) Actress Jessica Alba, who is known for her roles in ‘Entourage’, ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’, and ‘Never Been Kissed’, is celebrating the equal participation of male and female athletes at the ongoing Paris Olympics.

The actress took to Instagram and highlighted that the Paris Olympics is the first in history to achieve numerical gender parity, with an equal number of male and female athletes participating.

The post read: “Paris will be the first Olympics in history to achieve numerical gender parity with the same number of male and female athletes participating.”

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics took place on July 26 in Paris.

The ceremony featured an artistic programme showcasing French culture, a parade of athletes, and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.

French President Emmanuel Macron declared the Games open, marking the formal beginning of competitions for the next 16 days.

Talking to Instagram stories, Genelia, who boasts 14 million followers, posted a video showing her kids, Riaan and Rahyl, playing football in the stadium amid the downpour.

The post is captioned: “Rain…6 am wakeup…7 am practice… nothing stops them from being there… kids are trying and that’s all that matters.”

Genelia is married to actor Riteish Deshmukh. The couple tied the knot in February 2012 in a traditional Marathi Hindu ceremony. They both made their acting debuts in the 2003 romantic film ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’.

Actress Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram stories and shared a video of the opening ceremony, featuring Indian athletes PV Sindhu and Sharath Kamal, who led the Indian team as flag bearers during the Parade of Nations on the River Seine in Paris, France.

Her ‘Singham Again’ co-star, Ajay Devgn, also showed his support by posting on X: “To all Indian Athletes, You are the pride of our nation. The best at what y’all do. Be assured that we will be cheering our hearts out to see perform. It’s time to bring home the hardware. Cheers and good luck! #OlympicGames #Olympic2024.”

Sonali Bendre shared a picture of the Indian contingent at the Olympics on her Instagram story, captioning it: “Rooting for Team India.”

Taking to Instagram stories, the actress posted a video from the event and wrote: “The Paris Olympics is under fire for including a ‘child’ in their hyper-s*xualised, blasphemous rendition of The Last Supper. An apparent child could be seen joining the drag queens during the performance. They also showed a naked man painted blue as Jesus and mocked Christianity. Leftists totally hijacked Olympics 2024. Shame (sic).”
